Marge Thompson

We want to spotlight an amazing volunteer knitter, Marge Thompson! Marge has created and donated over 10,000 knitted baby caps to the CLICK for Babies campaign!

Marge, who was taught how to knit by her mother, started knitting when she was just a teenager. She learned to knit so she could teach her sisters how to knit argyle socks. They would donate the socks to Navy servicemen. She has been knitting for years and says she, her sister, and her friend, “will try almost any knitting challenge once.”

In 2014, after being recruited by the PURPLE Hat Brigade in Washington state, Marge started knitting baby caps for the CLICK for Babies campaign. Eight years and over 10,000 knitted caps later she is still going strong and continues to knit caps for the campaign. “I like the CLICK campaign and being a part of educating parents in helping raise healthy babies.”

10,000 caps is a wonderful and impressive achievement, so thank you Marge for all you have done for the CLICK for Babies campaign!
